Shameless Plug…

So, big talk right now is “Omgosh, like totally dude! They messed up that whole swear Obama in thing!”

Did they really? I mean yeah a few words got swapped but he was there as well as the other important entities not to mention the witness of a bazillion American people. So, they redid it? What for? To cause more controversy? The first “problem” I heard about in the redo of the swearing in process is supposedly his hand wasn’t on The Bible. Granted I do think that yes this holds a lot of importance, but if it really truly bothered us in the first place why did we (yes we the people) vote him into office. It isn’t like during the swearing in that if he didn’t touch The Bible with all five fingers on his hand that we could suddenly contest our choice?

So, where do we stand? Are we still all afraid? Are we instantly all socialized? We are in the same place we were 1 year, 2 years, 10 years ago… a nation with a new President, hopefully a new start. Whether we voted for Obama or not we are where we are. Yes we are afraid, but we have all been there before the beginning of new leadership. No we haven’t been instantly socialized will we be? No. Do we have to accept it? No.

Shameless Plug: (to boost my stats) Barack Obama, New President, Inauguration, Socializing, Change.

For those interested: No I did not vote for Barack Obama, I did vote for John McCain, did my vote count? Yes. Am I concerned about my future? Yes, but I would be no matter who was elected and sworn in twice. BTW, yes I do think that the amount of money spent for this Inauguration just like with any other one before it is insane and ridiculous. I truly wish that the small part that was from my tax dollars was applied to a more urgent cause.
